In some footage capturing the alleged incident, a maritime drone is observed rapidly approaching a dimly outlined military ship, just before the transmission abruptly terminates. According to an intelligence source from Ukraine, the Olenegorsky Gornyak, a Russian Navy landing ship carrying approximately 100 Russian servicemen, was struck by a sea drone loaded with 450 kilograms of TNT. The Russian Ministry of Defense, on the other hand, stated that an assault by two maritime drones launched by Ukraine had been successfully thwarted in the vicinity of the naval base, resulting in the destruction of the drones. Three unmanned aerial vehicles were directed toward vessels sailing approximately 210 miles to the southwest of Sevastopol, the headquarters of Russia's Black Sea fleet stationed in Crimea.
