It's time to sail from the Whitsunday Islands up to Cairns. The only problem... it won't stop raining!
Grey and wet weather doesn't make for a whole lot of fun and the high winds meant we had to skip sailing out to the Great Barrier Reef. That was a big bummer, but we were excited to get up to Cairns where we'd have the first meeting of the Wonderful Sail 2 Indonesia Rally. It was great to meet the people we'd be spending the next 3 months with and really drove home that our time cruising Australia was just about done.
Cairns was our last large city in Australia so we tried to make the most of it. We ran some errands, did some provisioning and when we (finally) got a decent gap in the rain, I was able to do some needed repair work on our watermaker.
